Core benefits

All breeds

All South African and various African breeds are catered for, including commercial herds. Learn and use a single program for all your breeds.

Multiple herds

Open different data sets for different herds, even if they are from different breeds. Each herd’s data are stored and managed separately. Data can be transferred between herds.

Paperless

Almost all paperwork is eliminated, except where you collect data in the field, and even here you can use our preprinted forms. Everything about an animal is stored in one place. No more searching for data in books or cards.

Time saving

Usually it takes about 600 characters of writing to keep manual records up to date for each new lamb. With StudMaster it is reduced to pressing 80 keys on the keyboard. Use the saved time for selecting animals, rather than updating and keeping records.

Easy to use

From the onset designed to be farmer friendly. Things in the program happen in the same order as it happens on the farm.

Fault elimination

While using StudMaster you will be warned of various data faults that might occur, rather than be reminded about them later by registering bodies, when they return some reports for correction. For example the program will prevent you from mating a ram and letting an ewe calve within 90 days. Computer numbers are automatically located and printed, eliminating writing errors.

Well known

StudMaster is well known in the industry, Breeders’ Societies, S.A.Studbook and Agricultural Research Council (ARC). We stay in touch with all relevant people in the industry to keep StudMaster up to date with the latest technology and research.

Comprehensive administration

StudMaster will handle all your on farm sheep administration. From matings, births, performance-testing, purchases, sales and regular weighing. StudMaster prints all official reports.

Extended selection program

By means of our extended selection methods you can enforce your own breeding policy, since every breeder’s breeding policy differs. You create your own reports and selection criteria, and the program selects your animals according to that.

Performance testing

Calculate pre-wean, wean, year and greasy fleece performance figures. Data for the official calculation of body and fleece performance data is sent to Intergis and Societies electronically via disk or Internet email.

South African authored

Developed in South Africa for our unique circumstances. Maintenance and additions to the program done locally, and this means fast and efficient updating of the program.

Tested reliability

With approximately 600 programs running in South Africa and other countries, you thus buy a reliable and practically tested program. We will handle your data with care. 10 Years of experience working for you!

Upgrade and maintenance

Put simply, StudMaster wouldn’t be StudMaster without users reporting problems and new ideas back to us. We’ve always had and always will have a listening ear to such feedback, enhancing the program in the process. Official policy.
